Heya! Coming in hot with an Autumn Round-Up…
I’ve been having a fab time touring Scotland this Summer/Autumn with duo partner Miguel Girão and with a full band (thanks to Charlie Stewart, Rhona MacDonald, Brodie Jarvie, Gregor Black and Signy Jakobsdottir). Highlights have been a home gig at Mareel, my first time over at Ceòl Cholasa (sea swims and the most sun I’ve experienced all summer..) & a trip to the highlands to play at The Stables, Cromarty.

Strands was longlisted for Scottish Album of the Year 2024, although it didn’t make the shortlist I’m blown away it was selected for the longlist alongside some of Scotland’s greats (favs including Fergus McCreadie, Malin Lewis and corto.alto).
Currently writing this as me and Miguel head home from Celtic Colours. This has been our first trip to Canada and getting to experience the festival and share our music in Cape Breton has been such a blessing. The care and kindness we’ve experienced at the festival has been second to none, and we’ve both fallen in love with the people, music and area.

Next up, I’ll be heading down to WOMEX 2024 in Manchester as an official showcase artist (full band showcase is at 21:00-21:45 on Thursday 24 October). Such a privilege to be heading down as part of team Scotland this year, repping Scotland alongside Gnoss (catch them on Friday 25 October at 22:30).
I’m looking forward to working with a bunch of great folk as part of this years SEALL Festival of Small Halls in November. You can catch me across Skye, Raasay, Lochalsh and Lewis between Friday 15 – Saturday 23 November. More info.
Next month I’ll also be playing a rare solo gig opening for a showing of The Rugged Island with live score by Inge Thomson & Catriona MacDonald as part of the Soundhouse Winter Festival in Edinburgh on 28 November. Tickets here.

I’ve been making new music with LÉDA and we’re looking forward to releasing a new single and music video tomorrow (Sunday 20 October).
I doot that’s all for now! I’m getting ready to hunker down & work on new music this winter, you can keep up to date with things in the meantime over on Instagram.
A x
